Den finske designeren Eero Aarnio (f. 1932 i Helsingfors) er en av de store nyskaperne innen moderne møbeldesign. På 1960-tallet begynte Eero Aarnio å eksperimentere med plast, sterke farger og organiske former på en måte som brøt med den tradisjonelle formgivningen.

Mange av hans plastmøbler er i dag ikoner, blant annet The Ball Chair (1963), The Pastil Chair (1968) og The Bubble Chair (1968). Stoler som alle gjenspeiler popkulturen og tidsånden.

For Martela har Eero Aarnio designet Roy, Swan XL og The Tree.
